The Porsche Taycan is also in the viewfinder!
Electrification is running at Audi. The brand has announced that it will offer 12 100% electric models by 2025, three of which will come out in the next two years, with a schedule including about one out every six months. A few hours after the camouflaged photos, a brand has shown in Los Angeles a first draft of this e-tron range, the e-tron GT concept.
A sedan coupe four doors that is reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan and follows the first e-tron model presented, an SUV also electric. The Audi e-tron GT concept will go hunting on the field of Tesla Model S and is part of the will to move the sector towards electrification. It is also in the tradition of GT with a length of 4.96 meters, a width of 1.96 meters and a wheelbase of 2.90 meters.
Its front has a piercing look and a wide trapezoidal honeycomb calender, signature of Audi sport models. It emphasizes a wide air intake, allowing better penetration into the air, while its leaking roof line is reminiscent of the A7 Sportback, which also improves its efficiency. Despite its length, it retains a massive appearance thanks to its body height, widened wheel arches and 22-inch wheels.
With a certain elegance despite its imposing appearance, the rear is reminiscent of the Taycan, with tapered optics to the light signature in the form of arrows going inward and connected by a LED strip that spreads over its entire width. Again, we find one of the signatures already seen on recent models of the brand rings.
Composed of a multi-material body for its body, leaving much to carbon and aluminum, the future Audi electric sedan borrows some of its technology from the Porsche Taycan. Its propulsion is provided by two electric motors, one on each axle, making the e-tron GT concept a four-wheel drive. The torque will be transmitted via a permanent electric transmission, assisted by a Torque Vectoring system for an ideal distribution of torque.

With 590 horsepower, it will shoot 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and 0 to 200 km / h in less than 12 seconds. Its maximum speed will be around 240 km / h. In terms of electrical system, the battery of 90 kWh can be recharged to 80% in 20 minutes in fast charge, thanks to a cable of 800 volts. It can also be recharged via induction in approximately eight hours.
Finally, it will have a range of more than 400 kilometers in the WLTP cycle and, like any good GT that respects itself, will offer a large cargo area with 550 liters, of which 450 at the rear and 100 in the trunk. Inside, we find the recent codes of the brand including the dual screen on the center console and the large instrumentation screen behind the wheel. Unlike the e-tron concept, mirrors survive and are not replaced by cameras.
